Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are a great way to enter the workforce. You can learn skills in the mining industry by working and training on the job, get nationally recognised qualifications and get paid whilst you are learning.
Each year, OZ Minerals offers apprenticeship opportunities at our Prominent Hill Mine. The apprenticeships are undertaken on a full time basis and the apprentices work on a fly-in, fly-out roster.
Recruitment commences around September to start February the following year. Due to the limited number of apprenticeships, candidates are sourced locally.
Vacation work
Gain valuable work experience and build a portfolio of skills that will increase your competitiveness when you graduate. Vacation work is a practical way to apply your studies, earn money over summer and gain insight into a progressive industry. It is also an opportunity for the business to observe student potential and cultural fit for future vacancies.
We offer a number of vacation opportunities across a range of disciplines including Geology, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Metallurgy, Finance, Environment and Surveying.
Recruitment commences in July of each year and placements are finalised by September/October.
