Community consultation
Our operations have mechanisms for gaining and understanding the views, concerns and aspirations of the communities we are a part of. In line with this commitment we looking to undertake community research at our sites to help gauge communities and key stakeholders' understanding, awareness and attitudes towards OZ Minerals and its operations.
Community programs
OZ Minerals undertakes community development programs in the areas in which it works. These are chosen so as to be able to deliver maximum long-term benefit to our host communities and to be aligned with the wishes of these communities
At Prominent Hill, the new mine operates under a Native Title Agreement. Pre-employment training programs continue to be successful at enabling participation of aboriginal and other people from the region in the developing mine.
