Pandurra, South Australia
Ownership: 100% Black Tiger Resources Limited, OZ Minerals Earn-In
Location: Gawler Craton in South Australia.
Target: IOCG Copper – Gold
In Q1 2021, OZ Minerals entered into our first agreement generated by the Drillanthropy initiative.
The agreement, with Black Tiger Resources Pty Ltd, allows us to drill test targets on the Pandurra project, located on the northern portion of the Eyre Peninsula.
Drillanthropy connects data-driven exploration models with the funding to drill and test them.
Funding is open to any tenement holder in Australia with a copper target backed by quality data, Drillanthropy harnesses the power of the crowd and helps us to think differently about traditional exploration targets.
Coompana, South Australia
Ownership:100% OZ Minerals
Location: Coompana Province, far west South Australia
Target: Copper–nickel magmatic sulphide mineralisation
The Coompana Province in South Australia has been the subject of significant investigations by the South Australian Department of State Development in collaboration with PACE Copper, although the areas remain essentially unexplored and provide us with an opportunity to make exciting discoveries. Our tenements cover more than 6000km2 and we are exploring the region for magmatic nickel-copper deposits.
Mt Woods, South Australia
Ownership: 100% OZ Minerals
Location: Prominent Hill
Target: IOCG copper-gold
OZ Minerals is drilling a number of targets on the Mt Woods Project searching for for further copper deposits to provide additional resources for the Prominent Hill mill.
These targets have been generated using both data science and conventional techniques with the results being fed back into models to help refine future targeting. is currently drilling
Carrapateena, South Australia
Ownership: 100% OZ Minerals
Location: Carrapateena
Target: IOCG copper-gold
Exploration is focussing on making further discoveries using both conventional and unconventional targeting methods and we are trialing passive seismic and heat flow needles to help prioirtise existing targets.
These surveys, along with other geophysical techniques such as ground gravity are currently being used to refine drill targets which will be tested in 2022.
Red Metal multi-site exploration alliance, Western Australia
Ownership: OZ Minerals Earning 51%
In January 2019, OZ Minerals entered an exploration alliance with Red Metal Limited to significantly increase our exploration footprint in Australia.
The Alliance gives us an option to fund a series of mutually agreed, proof-of-concept work programs on four of Red Metal’s early-stage projects.
Yarrie
Location: Paterson Province, Western Australia
Target: Copper-gold-cobalt
Large airborne EM survey completed in Q3 2021 with results being interpreted. Targeting large copper gold systems similar to the Winu Deposit recently discovered by Rio Tinto.
Gulf
Location: Northern Queensland
Target: Copper-gold
Drilling of discrete magnetic and gravity features is underway under 400m of sedimentary cover targeting large copper-gold systems similar to the earnest Henry Deposit
Lawn Hill
Location: Northern Queensland
Target: Copper / Zinc-lead-silver
Further geophysical surveys are planned in 2022 to refine targets for drill testing
Jericho – Queensland
Ownership: 80% OZ Minerals, 20% Minotaur
Location: 65km south-east of Cloncurry, northwest Queensland.
Target: Copper-gold
The Jericho project is one of several joint venture agreements with Minotaur Exploration that is part our footprint in the Cloncurry District of northwest Queensland. Other joint venture agreements with Minotaur include Eloise, Cloncurry Alliance and Breena Plains.
The Jericho copper-gold resource (inferred) was announced in mid 2020 as containing 9.1Mt@1.4%Cu, 0.3g/tAu for 130kt Cu and 88koz Au (@0.8% Cu cutoff).
Jericho was a grass roots discovery in 2017 by Minotaur and OZ Minerals
Eloise Project – Queensland
Ownership: 70% OZ Minerals, 30% Minotaur
Location: 55km south-east of Cloncurry, northwest Queensland.
Target: Copper-gold
In December 2015, OZ Minerals and Minotaur Exploration entered into a binding Heads of Agreement for the Eloise Project in the Cloncurry region of NW Qld. The Cloncurry Mineral District contains strong mineral endowment in a variety of commodities, including Cu-Au (Ernest Henry, Eloise, Osborne and Mount Elliot/Swan deposits) and Zn-Pb-Ag (Cannington, Pegmont).
Exploration continued in 2021 involving drilling and ground geophysical surveys with the aim of discovering further copper and gold
Breena Plains – Queensland
Ownership: 100% Sandfire Resources., Cloncurry Alliance (OZ Minerals and Minotaur Exploration) earn-in up to 75%
Location: Near Cloncurry in north-west Queensland
Target: Copper-gold-lead-silver
In February 2020, OZ Minerals and Minotaur Exploration entered into an agreement with Sandfire Resources to explore the Breena Plains tenement group near Cloncurry in north-west Queensland. This joint venture initialises operations under the Cloncurry Alliance between OZ Minerals and Minotaur Exploration. It incorporates 1,226km² of tenure surrounding our existing Cloncurry projects at Jericho and Eloise The ground is considered prospective for sulphide hosted copper-gold mineralisation, Broken Hill type and Cannington style lead-silver systems and drilling is planned late in 2021 following up geophysical anomalies at The Gap Prospect.
Wollogorang
Ownership: Resolution Minerals Ltd, OZ Minerals Farm-In up to 51%
Location: McArthur Basin, Northern Territory.
Target: Copper
The Wollogorang project in the gulf country of the Northern Territory was added to our portfolio in Q3 2021. Drilling of geophysical targets generated by surface and ground surveys is planned for the first half of 2022 following the completion of heritage surveys and obtaining other statutory approvals.
OZ Minerals can earn a majority equity in the project held by Resolution Minerals Ltd and is targeting sedimentary hosted copper deposits in the McArthur Basin.
