Ms Carneiro, a law graduate of the Prestige University of The State Of Rio De Janeiro, built her career as congresswoman and performed several roles in the public sector.

Her career includes the Brazilian congress and the City of Rio where she was Secretary of special projects of city of Rio and at various time a City Councillor and Federal Deputy.

She was Leader and Deputy Party leader in several legislatures and is considered a centre wing person.

She has an active parliamentary background take lead roles on legislation involving children, women’s and human rights as well as mining related laws and regulations.

Having worked in more than 21 commissions (4 as Chairwoman or Vice-Chairwoman) Ms Carneiro is considered one of the most ethical and active persons in congress.

Ms Carneiro owns a gold mine in Bahia and she is now acting to approve the new mine permit law.

She speaks English and maintains a residence in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
